Honey Granola Snack Bar Recipes: Powerful Food Fuel for You and Your Family
Snack bars are simple to make. The foundation of a good snack bar is usually oats and any combination of nuts, dried fruits or tasty bits of goodness you choose, mixed together with a binding agent, like butter, eggs and/or oil, and sweetened up with a drizzle or two (or four) of honey. Spread your mixture on a greased baking sheet and bake or chill them until they’re hard enough to cut and wrap.
You can experiment with your own quantities of ingredients to yield the flavors and textures you like. We recommend throwing in wheat germ or flax seeds for a healthy boost of Omega-3’s. Have some other seeds or nuts laying around? Throw those in too. Keep in mind that smaller bits mix together more cohesively, so larger nuts like our naked macadamia nuts will work better if they’re crushed first.
