Wild Piglets

Feral or wild pigs have a long history in Hawaii, and we’ve written about them here on our farm before (Pigs in Paradise).

We have traps set up in the fields where they do the most destruction to our fields, and yesterday caught a bunch of the cutest piglets! It’s hard to remind myself exactly how destructive they can be when they are this cute.

These little hooligans were attracted to the macadamia nuts in the traps, just like we humans are. Yum! Luckily for them, they were just let go, because it would be inhumane to move them separately from their mama, as they are still quite young.
